Beirut, July 10, 2017–The Committee to Protect Journalists is concerned by the arrest of TV journalist Ahmad Fathi al-Khatib. Palestinian intelligence officers arrested al-Khatib, a cameraman for news channel Al-Aqsa TV, from his home in Beitunia, just west of Ramallah, on July 1, according to his employer and news reports.
New York, June 21, 2017–The Palestinian Authority should cease blocking access to news websites in the West Bank, the Committee to Protect Journalists said today. New York, May 18, 2017–The Committee to Protect Journalists called on Israeli authorities to apprehend and try the man who shot Associated Press photographer Majdi Mohammed in the hand and killed a Palestinian protester near the northern West Bank city of Nablus today.
