Made up of journalist safety and press freedom experts based around the globe, CPJ’s Emergencies Response Team provides comprehensive, life-saving support to journalists and media support staff worldwide. Drawing on our team’s expertise in international media, emergency protection and safety, CPJ Emergencies Response Team promotes physical, digital, and psychosocial safety and assists journalists- particularly freelancers and those from smaller outlets through tailored safety workshops, one-on-one safety consultations with experts, and publishing up-to-date safety and security information, as well as providing rapid assistance to journalists at risk worldwide.
